Coinciding with the international day against breast cancer (October 19), Allianz Partners is initiating a series of activities focused on global awareness, prevention by all its employees and the promotion of early detection of the disease.
The company wanted to give a voice to employees who have faced the disease so that, through their experience and their testimony, everyone can feel identified. With this initiative, Allianz Partners wants to promote the need to present for gynecological examinations, which during this last year in Spain have been reduced due to COVID-19 and the fear of contagion when passing through a medical center.
As part of the awareness and early detection campaign, the company also held a self-exploration workshop for all of its employees on the next day 22, in which it is intended to familiarize participants with the daily practical guidelines that can be essential in time to diagnose the disease prematurely and thus significantly improve the medical prognosis.
Also linked to the well-being of its employees, the company has for years offered a comprehensive annual gynecological examination to all its employees, as well as an annual urological examination to employees over 45 years of age. Both reviews are 100% funded by Allianz Partners Spain and involve screening tests in specialized centers.
MFF, one of the collaborators who wanted to testify in this awareness campaign for the company, wanted to emphasize the surprising and positive aspects of her experience: “When I was diagnosed with cancer, I started to follow chemotherapy cycles where I met 5 other women. From day one, the connection was brutal. In a few weeks, we had already called ourselves: “Luchadoras Natas” and although I had my family and my husband, this new group of friends was an indispensable and unexpected support ”.
