Bauhaus and Mater sign an agreement to promote the employment of people with intellectual disabilities
The Bauhaus company and the Mater Misericordiae Center have signed a collaboration agreement whose main objective is to join forces to achieve the employment of workers with intellectual disabilities.
The worker must have an employment contract with the same conditions, according to the collective agreement, as the rest of the personnel of the company, according to the category he occupies. Mater, on the other hand, guarantees the presence of a job coach whenever it is necessary to support the worker in the development of his functions and responsibilities, as well as his integration into the professional environment.
On the other hand, the formalized agreement between the Bauhaus and Mater Misericordiae also envisages – beyond everything relating to hiring – the possibility of doing internships in the company mentioned above. Thus, the users of the placement service will have the opportunity to learn about how this company works and to experience firsthand what it is like to work in a company with these characteristics.
The professional integration service of the Mater Misericordiae center operates thanks to the PIO program, managed by the Balearic Islands Occupation Service (SOIB) and co-financed by the European Social Fund. Users receive personalized advice, guidance and help from Mater professionals to find the most suitable solution for each of them.
