What is the Gaganyaan program
This is an ambitious India space program, in which India will send its first manned spacecraft into space. ISRO said in a statement that the test was carried out for the L110 liquid stage of the GSLV Mk 3 vehicle as part of the engine qualification requirements for the Gaganyaan program. The engine was cranked for 240 seconds at the ISRO Propulsion Complex Test Center (IPRC), Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, he said.
The training is given in Russia
The GSLV Mk III will be used for the launch of Gaganyaan. ISRO has successfully tested it. In June 2019, ISRO had entered into a contract with Glavkosmos of Russia which included candidate selection, clinical trials and space trials. Astronauts are trained in short-term weightlessness while learning the nuances of the Soyuz manned space system.
