The debate on April 21 between the candidates for the presidency of the Community of Madrid began at 9:30 p.m. The debate organized by Telemadrid brings together Isabel Díaz Ayuso, Ángel Gabilondo, Pablo Iglesias, Mónica García, Edmundo Bal and Rocío Monasterio, and is expected to last around 120 minutes. Journalists María Rey and Jon Ariztimuño are responsible for dividing speaking time among debaters.
Both the speaking time and the distribution on the set have been drawn, and the debate is structured in six thematic blocks: Madrid in pandemic, The health challenge, The social challenge, Reactivate Madrid, May 5, what? (pacts) and, finally, the golden minute. Previously, each candidate had 30 seconds of presentation to explain his proposals, and in each block, he will have three minutes to argue and refute his opponents. Chance has determined that Pablo Iglesias starts the debate with his first 30 seconds, and it will be the United We Can candidate who will close the golden quarter.
