Windows 10 is a huge, gigantic and colossal operating system. As users, we are often not aware of the large number of files that exist by default on our PC or where a lot of data is stored. Windows File Explorer is not a simple application that lets us navigate our documents. It is much more. It is the real powerhouse of the operating system, the operating room. Today we are going to teach you how to see hidden files and folders in Windows 10
How to see hidden files in Windows 10
If Microsoft doesn’t allow us to see these files in Windows 10 (for something they’re called that), there’s good reason. These are files in many cases sensitive and should not be touched if we do not have a good knowledge of what we are doing.
However, Windows is characterized by options and freedom for the user and in this case it was not going to be less. Redmonds allow us to view these files in very few easy steps.
To get started, we will need to open File Explorer. Then you have to click on the “Display” tab. To finish, all you have to do is check the “Hidden elements” box, which we indicate in the attached image.
And There you go! This is how it is easy to see hidden files in Windows 10. You can tell them apart from other files because they are semi-transparent. If you want to undo the changes, all you have to do is uncheck the “Hidden elements” box. This is a good security measure if you just want to make a small change to a hidden item.
