IKEA Spain announces appointment of Mnica Chao as new sustainability director
IKEA to invest € 600 million in global sustainability in 2021

IKEA in Spain has appointed Mnica Chao as the new Director of Sustainability, who has over 20 years of experience in multinational companies, successfully developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
Mnica Chao holds a degree in Economic and Commercial Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela, a Masters in Environmental Policy and Management from the Carlos III University of Madrid and has various programs executives at IE and ESADE

Since the end of 2019, she has been working to promote the creation of a network of women to promote sustainable development and which led to the creation in March 2020 of WAS (Women, Action, Sustainability), an organization that she has since chaired. WAS is made up of managers with more than 15 years of experience, its goal is that sustainability reaches the highest level of decision-making in organizations and to rely on female talents.
