Iran Central Bank bans other banks against dealings in Cryptocurrency 6893

Iran Central Bank has banned the banks in the country from dealings in cryptocurrencies due to serious threats like money laundering. 

Earlier there has been a circular of central bank based on cryptocurrency ban. It stated, “Banks and credit institutions and currency exchanges should avoid any sale or purchase of these currencies or taking any action to promote them.” 

US President Donald Trump will make his decision on whether to restore economic sanctions of US on Tehran. Tehran is the capital of Iran. The decision is expected by May 12.

Earlier, head of Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission wanted to ban Telegram. Secretary of Iran’s High Council for Cyberscape, Hassan Firouzabadi believed that it has the potential to impact the national currency of Iran.
