Vogue featured Malala’s interview on the cover of its July issue.

In an interview with Vogue reporter Sirene Kell, Malala said marriage was pointless and said I didn’t understand why people got married. If you want a life partner then why are you signing the marriage papers, why can’t it just be a partnership? After which Malala started to be trolled on social media in Pakistan.

In Pakistan, the controversy over Malala’s statement grew so much that his father Ziauddin Yousafzai had to explain himself. He said his daughter’s statement was distorted.
