Berlin, the perfect “infrastructure” for Blockchain, says Ethereum co-founder
Berlin is “the most important city in the blockchain cosmos”. This is how Joseph Lubin, the co-founder of Ethereum and founder of ConsenSys, is seeing Berlin at the moment.
Berlin is perfect for Blockchain technology but still stumbling
According to Cointelegraph’s report, Lubin states that Berlin has the perfect package to be a leader in the blockchain realm as it owns the required “infrastructure”, “talent” and “really good programmers”.

The Canadian programmer, who does not find cryptocurrencies much interesting, considers that the country is still in its infancy when it comes to blockchain adoption and needs to be boosted a lot more. According to Lubin, blockchain has a long way to go in the country. To boost the country and its existing skills, Lubin said that the government should be more inclined to encourage blockchain by holding “more programs to promote blockchain”.
“We’ve seen a lot of bubbles bursting, and will do so more often in blockchain and cryptocurrency. At $30, Bitcoin was a bubble, at $200 and at $20,000 even,” he added.
What is Lubin mostly concerned of?
Lubin’s major concent is advancing the Internet to its the next stage, which he has referred to as Web 3.0. The “old web” has too many slips that need to be addressed. At the moment, people do not have control over their data and service providers can exploit on user data at their own will. Cross-border payments are not easy as there is lack of quick system that can settle those payments.
