Bitfury reinforces its strength, adds two experienced faces to lead its operations
One of the leading full-service blockchain-based technology company in the world, the Bitfury Group announced on Wednesday that it has secured the services of Antoine Dresch, co-founder of Korelya capital to its board of directors and Annette Nazareth, a former member of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to its advisory board.
Founded in 2011, Bitfury is the leading security and infrastructure provider for the Bitcoin blockchain and it is also on a constant endeavor to produce innovative hardware that keeps cryptocurrencies and blockchain secure.
Dresch will serve as a voting member on Bitfury’s board of directors and he would join Valery Vavilov, George Kikvadze, Bill Tai, and Bob Dykes. With an experience of more than 20 years in investment banking, Dresch has held senior positions with Goldman Sachs, UBS, and Morgan Stanley. In the year 2012, he founded DDMA Ltd. to help media and internet investors in Europe and help them invest properly.
In the year 2016, Dresch and his partner founded Korelya Capital, which is dedicated to the top technology companies in Europe. As a member of Bitfury’s advisory board, Nazareth will help the company by providing guidance and help to companies in the financial sector and regulatory advancements.
At present, Nazareth is in charge of Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Washington, D.C. office, where she leads the firm’s trading and markets practice. She has rich experience in financial markets and is a recognized authority on regulatory issues.
As SEC Commissioner, she dealt with a number of ground-breaking initiatives including execution quality disclosure rules, implementation of equities decimal pricing, short sale reforms, corporate debt transparency rules and modernization of the national market system.
Speaking about the new additions, Valery Vavilov, CEO of Bitfury said, “We are thrilled to welcome Antoine to our board of directors and Annette to our advisory board. Antione’s experience in investment banking and mergers and acquisitions will be major assets as the blockchain company continues to grow. Annette will serve in a different capacity and will guide and support Bitfury to grow and evolve by offering her comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and regulations.
Speaking about the decision to join Bitfury, Dresch said, “I’m delighted to be joining the board of directors at Bitfury, a leading technology platform in the blockchain and AI space. I’m thrilled to be working alongside a group of highly talented individuals, all animated by a great governing spirit.”
Similar sentiments were echoed by Nazareth. She said, “I could not be more pleased to have the opportunity to work alongside such talented individuals in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.”
