Bithumb to hold token-swap as mainnet gets rebranded from HSR to HC
Bithumb, the globally recognised leading digital asset trading platform based in South Korea, has affirmed the mainnet switching and rebranding. The rebranding of the Bithum mainnet has occurred from Hshare (HSR) to HyperCash (HC). The next step for the largest cryptocurrency exchange, in terms of its transaction volume, is holding a token swap.
The transaction of HSR will get suspended today from 9pm onwards, however, other transactions will remain unaffected. As HC trading would mark its beginning, Bithumb will preserve the history of pending order such that the users can check the history of pending on buying and selling.
The exchange has clarified that only after the suspension of transaction, HSR’s balance snapshot will be held. The swapping ratio of the balance reads one HSR to one HC and the existing balance of HSR will become nil.
The new transaction
The new HC transaction will commence on the morning of 7th December. With the onset of this transaction procedure, the last traded value of HSR prior to the suspension will be levied on the listing price of the new token. The event would prompt the delisting of HSR allowing HC to appear in terms of asking price, trading history, chart and the history of withdrawal and deposit. Withdrawal and deposit of HC will begin once the stable swap and transaction gets verified.
