BitPay integrates with Big Tickets, allows Bitcoin Cash [BCH] for bookings
BitPay, a cryptocurrency payment provider, has integrated with Big Tickets to allow customers to reserve their spots for a multitude of events using virtual currency.
The integration is part of the expansion of using cryptos as more than just a means of trading. An increasing number of cryptos have been partnering up with consumer-facing companies to increase the user base of such businesses.
This payment service comes as the fall festival and the upcoming conference league ramps up, which will see a wave of customers use the services of Big Tickets.
In a statement, Big Tickets said that the two Georgia-based companies will now support payments made in Bitcoin Cash [BCH]. The fourth most valuable crypto in the market is known for its low cost, speed and security. The average costs for a Bitcoin Cash transaction generally amount to $0.002, much lower than the 2-3% charged by Visa.

“The use of Bitcoin Cash is a major social trend we’ve been following and we’re excited to be one of the first event ticketing platforms in the United States to accept the burgeoning cryptocurrency,” said Big Tickets CTO Jason Henley.
BitPay has diversified its operations since starting out in 2011. Besides integrating with several companies to allow payments via digital currencies, it has also enabled customers to manage their assets through BitPay wallets. The company also introduced the BitPay Prepaid Visa Card, which allows users to convert cryptos to U.S. dollars.
