Crypto exchange KuCoin to delist 6 tokens
In an announcement on Thursday, crypto exchange KuCoin announced that it has planned to delist 6 tokens from the trading platform. The tokens that are to be delisted are EncrypGen (DNA), Publica (PBL), Raiden Network token (RDN), Monetha (MTH), Blockmason Credit Protocol (BCPT) and Gladius Token (GLA).
According to the announcement, the projects related to the tokens have been disqualified according to the norms set by the exchange. The exchange has a Special Treatment Area, where tokens that are at the risk of being delisted are stored or kept. The tokens can be delisted for any of the following reasons such as low liquidity, insolvency, bankruptcy, failing KuCoin audits, failure to submit update reports, and any other situation determined by KuCoin.
As per the announcement, the deposits and pending orders will be shut at 22.00 (UTC+8) on November 22, 2018. Relative trading pairs will be shut down at 14:00 (UTC+8) on November 23, 2018. And withdrawals of relative tokens from KuCoin will continue to be supported until 18.00 (UTC+8) on November 23, 2019.
If you are currently holding relative tokens, please make your withdrawals on or before the closing date. The announcement also adds that investing in cryptocurrency is akin to being a venture capital investor.
Earlier this week on Tuesday, the exchange announced that it will be making changes with the already available pairs. The addition of certain trading pairs took place on November 20, 2018. The trading pairs include Deep Brain Chain (DBC) with NEO [DBC/NEO], EOS with KuCoin shares [EOS/KCS], and GoCoin with KCS [EOS/KCS].
The exchange also announced the removal of certain cryptocurrency trading pairs like one Ledger (OLT) with Tether (USDT) [OLT/USDT], QTUM with USDT [QTUM/USDT], Phantasma with NEO [SOUL/NEO], DENT with NEO [DENT/NEO], Loom with NEO [LOOM/NEO], Dragon Chain (DRGN) with KCS [DRGN/KCS], The Key (TKY) with KCS [TKY/KCS], Every Coin (EYC) with KCS [EYC/KCS], and Gas Coin (GAS) with KCS [GAS/KCS]. The removal will take place today.
According to an earlier report by BC Focus, the exchange raised more than $20 million from Venture Capital that includes IDG Capital, Matrix Partners, and Neo Global Capital in Series A round of Funding.
