Dash gains wider acceptance; climbs up from 2300 to 3000 businesses
In less than a month’s time, the number of businesses accepting Dash as a mode of payment has steadily increased from 2300 to 3000, with Food and Drinks topping the list.
Venezuela still tops the list in terms of countries that accept the cryptocurrency for payment. From over 800 business, the number of businesses in Venezuela has increased to over 1100.
According to dash force news, the number of businesses listed in Venezuela accepting the Altcoin is 1,375 which is a 45% of a worldwide adoption of the Altcoin. It has come to light that an average of 25 new businesses have adopted the cryptocurrency each day in Venezuela.
Following Venezuela, in the second and third spot are the USA and Canada respectively. While the USA hasn’t reached a quarter of Venezuela’s businesses, Canada is way behind.
Business Services tops it all
In terms of businesses, according to Discover dash, 604 businesses have been listed in the Business services category in Venezuela. Closely, in second place, 520 businesses have been listed in the Food and Drinks category in Venezuela. Following it, in third place, 438 businesses have been listed in the Dash ATM category in many countries.
As Dash has experienced a rapid growth in adoption of cryptos, the rest of the cryptocurrencies has remained stagnant. Statistics show that Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash have had a drastic decline from the end of 2017. The Altcoin has a higher real-world adoption. FanDuel, a fantasy sports site, has created major attention, as it has a partnership with the Altcoin.
While Bitcoin has an advantage that most number of people hold the original cryptocurrency than any other, it is still evident that Alt coins like Dash, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin are faster and cheaper than Bitcoins as a method of payment. Therefore you see a steady rise in the adoption of Altcoins, especially Dash.
As reported earlier by BC Focus, by accepting payments made by using this Altcoin, the costs incurred by merchants to process these payments are much lower.
