American multinational technology company Google is evidently trying to recruit  Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum (ETH) co-founder to join their blockchain team. He reportedly tweeted a poll asking twitter community whether or not to take the job which was offered by Google and drop Ethereum. He posted a screenshot allegedly from a recruiter of Google asking if Google “made sense for you now or in the future.”

In his since-deleted tweet, Vitalik failed to censor the recruiter’s name, email address, and profile photo. This might be the possible reason for deleting the original tweet. In his original tweet, the tweet received over 2,000 responses before being taken down. The poll received a majority voting for “No” to Vitalik joining Google leaving Ethereum.

Elizabeth Garcia is an engineering recruiter at Google. She earlier worked in Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce as an interview coach.

Google is already working on two different blockchain projects, a “tamper-proof” auditing system and a cloud operations platform. it is no wonder that Google chose to recruit Vitalik as every other tech giant is behind blockchain but Google appears somewhat left behind.

Fuyuki_Wataru, a Reddit user commented on a post about Buterin’s Google-related tweet and delete, “[Buterin is] free to do what he wants [...] honestly his talent is too large to be caged in, even when at a company at [sic] Google. If you've achieved this much at such a young age, I think life has more plans for you. Perhaps a good 1-2-month vacation might be better.”
