Ethereum weekly updates and news, price analysis and price predictions
Ethereum being one of the most popular Blockchain technologies in the crypto-world is much sought after. The decentralized platform runs smart contracts and applications which run as they’re programmed. These smart contracts and applications run with no possibility of downtime, censorship, fraud or interference from third-party.
Ethereum has been silent on the news front this particular week.
SEC or Securities and Exchange Commission stated that Ethereum [ETH], which is the second largest digital currency in the world, after Bitcoin [BTC], is not a security. This happens to be the first official statement made by SEC on the status of ETH. According to a recent report by BCFocus, it has been added to the trading platform of itBit. Earlier this week ETH also introduced a blockchain based game, Crypto origins. The game, which is a first in a series is a combination of idle strategy and card trading.
Ethereum Price today
The coin continues to disappoint as it failed to reach the $545 barrier and declined against the US dollar. Ether is trading at $472.50 per token today. It has faced a price drop of 2.14% in the last 24 hours.
According to Wallet investor the price hike in a year for Ether will be $1090.30 and $3730.60 in 5 years. It doesn’t predict a fall or surge in the prices but the current bearish market begs to differ. The company co-founder Hokinson says future is bright for the coin. Hokinson said, “after the next wave of regulation, wall street is showing up to the party with all their locked up capital. That’s tens of trillions of dollars entering the space eventually. Future is bright”.
The decentralization and easy usage aspects of the Ethereum blockchain have made it a popular choice among all industries. The food industry, gaming industry, art industry as well as e-commerce platforms have advanced their fields using the Blockchain. The Cryptage team is currently working on fine-tuning the user interface and overall gameplay mechanics. They’re also getting the achievements system and card trading marketplace ready.
