Telecommunications giant Huawei showcased its Hyperledge powered Blockchain Service at a conference in Shenzhen, China. Blockchain Service is a high-performance, high-availability, and high-security blockchain technology platform service for enterprises and developers. It can help companies and developers create, deploy and deploy quickly and inexpensively on Huawei Cloud.

Hyperledger incubates and promotes a range of business blockchain technologies, including distributed ledger frameworks, smart contract engines, client libraries, graphical interfaces, utility libraries and sample applications. The Hyperledger umbrella strategy encourages the re-use of standard building blocks.

Hyperledger Fabric powers Huawei's Blockchain as a Service platform. Hyperledger Fabric is a blockchain framework implementation and one of the Hyperledger projects hosted by The Linux Foundation. Intended as a foundation for developing applications or solutions with a modular architecture, Hyperledger Fabric allows components, such as consensus and membership services, to be plug-and-play. Hyperledger Fabric leverages container technology to host smart contracts called “chaincode” that comprise the application logic of the system.

Huawei website highlights advantages of its blockchain service. It reads, "Huawei cloud blockchain service is dedicated to the innovation and growth of its own technology-enabled enterprises. It provides one-stop blockchain platform services for enterprises and developers in planning, procurement, configuration, development, online and operation and maintenance of Huawei cloud services. Blockchain services can build a high-security, high-reliability, high-performance enterprise-class blockchain system based on the company's own business in as early as 5 minutes. Its core advantages are as follows:

1. Easy to use
Based on Huawei's cloud-leading container technology construction, blockchain deployment can be completed in as short as five minutes; at the same time, it is equipped with a full-process operation and maintenance service

2. Flexible and efficient
Support multiple efficient consensus algorithm choices; multiple role nodes and members dynamically join/exit; second-level consensus (2000TPS-10KTPS).

3 cost-effective
A key to the chain, saving 80% of the system development and deployment costs; Pay as you go, 60% reduction in R&D and initial costs.

4. Security Privacy
20+ global authoritative certification, security compliance; perfect user, secret key, authority management and isolation processing; multi-layer encryption guarantee and state secret support; zero-knowledge proof and homomorphic encryption and other privacy processing; reliable network security basic ability, Operational safety is worry-free."

Chinese Internet heavyweight Baidu meanwhile also joined Hyperledger in October 2017, launching its own Blockchain-based image rights platform earlier this month.
