Indian local bodies use blockchain to issue birth certificates of newborns
Few of the Municipal Corporations of India have turned towards the blockchain platform for simplifying the issuance of birth certificates. The local bodies have favoured the adoption of the new platform by the Netherlands based company, Lynked.World. The company provides blockchain solution for easily conducting the verification process of identification.
This new initiative by the Indian Municipal Corporations gives an impetus to the citizens to become more engaged with the governmental processes of ID verification. The verification is required for the purpose of higher education and for governments, administrators along with employers. On Google Play and App Store, the app is available to be accessed by all.
The fundamental motive of Lynked.World, the blockchain tech based company permits the digital verification of the user’s professional, personal and educational data. The information is verified with the help of the peer-to-peer network. The technology also facilitates the easy and direct sharing of important identification data with institutions, business organsiations and employers, as and when required.
As the identification process of the user’s data gets over on the platform, a unique QR code is generated that helps to access the verified data. The app provides the users with two important benefits. Firstly, the ownership of the identification data which is given to the people happens to be completely secured and also convenient. Secondly, the app enables the sharing of identity data that has already undergone digital authentication by the users in spite of their absence at a given location.
The local bodies that have adopted the integration of the blockchain technology with their administrative system involves Bankura Municipal Corporation and Durgapur Municipal Corporation located in West Bengal. This initiative to integrate blockchain in governmental function expedites the process of fulfilling the requirement of the citizens and simultaneously, providing legal and verifiable identities. Accordingly, at a faster pace, the citizens can now make application for documents like birth certificates.
The statement of Lynked.World CEO
Arun Kumar, the CEO and founder of Lynked.World have commented, “Present-day systems are too cumbersome. The only way a government agency can ensure they’re dealing with actual citizens with rights to access services is to have them right in front of them, with ID in hand. Our platform removes this obstacle, because it offers many layers of security to ensure the complete authenticity of digital identities, data, and documents. In a population-dense country like India, our system makes processes much simpler and faster for citizens and local governments, which in the end leads to savings on administration and processing fees.”
LYNK utility token will soon become the native token of the platform. The sale of tokens will begin on 15th Novermber, 2018 and will be continuing till 10th February, 2019. The number of digital tokens that would be available for the sale 150,000,000 and has announced a discount of 35% from the date of commencement till 7th December, 2018.
