Kraken announces its rebranding, believes it would “strongly reflect its “values & personality”
Reportedly, the announcement was released to the entire Kraken client base – 4 million clients across 200 countries. According to the announcement, Kraken will be rebranding their website with new colour scheme, new graphics, aiming to give a different feel to the website completely different feel. Kraken announced that the rebranding “should strongly reflect our values and personality.”
However, Kraken wouldn’t be changing its name. In fact, they think the name is “fun to say, memorable, resonates with you emotionally, conjures strong mental imagery, doesn’t restrict our future offerings”.
According to the exchange, the new colour scheme aims to achieve a more welcoming approach. Kraken explained that their new color scheme goes with their staff and the crypto community, which is, “outspoken, devoted, opinionated, and eccentric”. The website will also now be featuring a “deliciously fitting and bold color scheme.”
Though Kraken is focusing more on their appeal to other segments and markets currently, it also pointed out that their focus will remain on providing its traders the best features and charts.
It is to be noted that the exchange with their new features trying to push for more mainstream adoption. It stated, “You will see our tone of voice, look and feel, products, UX, and interactions become more approachable, streamlined, easy-to-consume, and more cool and fun. Crypto is really freakin’ cool after all. It’s about time that the world knows this, too.”
In other news, ICORating, an independent crypto market research firm, recently published research ranking the crypto exchanges based on their security. While conducting the research, four different parameters were taken into account which include user security, web security, domain and registrar security and DoS protection.
Reportedly, the firm added exchanges with trade volume above $100,000 for the research and analyzed a total of 135 exchanges. The firm graded the exchanges from A+ to C-. After the research, only two of them managed to get an A+ – Kraken and Cobinhood. Meanwhile, other popular exchanges like Bitmex, Bitfinex and Poloniex trailed behind with an A- rating. And, the well-known San-Francisco based exchange, Coinbase ranked ninth with an A- rating.
