Litecoin (LTC) might be used for airline ticketing payments in future
Litecoin (LTC) holders might have a bright future ahead. It seems that its #paywithLitecoin campaign is gaining traction all over the world.
Moreover, they are planning different airport-related services such as recently, the CEO of Wirex tweeted mentioning that Tesla airport shuttle is accepting payments in Litecoin. This is a huge thing as it hints at its growing adoption as currency and it will increase its long-term value in the market.
According to Crypto Recorder report, Bjorn Kjos, a Norwegian crypto company announced that they are trying to work on airline ticket payments in cryptocurrency. It will be for the Norwegian market. They intend to first test it out with Bitcoin and mentioned that they would add Litecoin in future. Since it is cheaper and faster, it is a better option than Bitcoin.
For example, a recent $99 million transaction was done in Litecoin at the cost of only cost $0.44. It is impossible for Bitcoin top beat that. So, if the airline ticket payments in cryptocurrency start there are chances of Bjorn Kjos ultimately move to Litecoin, as preferred crypto in the Norwegian market.
It is one of the top cryptocurrencies but yet the holders might think it to be risky at times. The rapid adoption of the coin suggests that the future might be bright. Currently, it trades at $119.5 against the USD and a total of $355 million worth of the coins have been traded in the last 24 hours. It is still trying its best to come out of the red zone. A strong run from the cryptocurrency is expected if the market turns green.
Gabriel Francisco cryptocurrency expert at TMT Blockchain Fund told Express.co.uk that Litecoin’s resurgence is visible from as early as late 2016 when the level of its growth was quadruple that of Bitcoin, which released almost three years before this, in January 2009. He even argued that Litecoin will become one of the first real cryptocurrencies that holders will be able to use to purchase goods and services as mass adoption of the currency grows.
