Opera ups its crypto game with browser based Ethereum wallet
Opera has taken another step to make your cryptocurrency trading experience smoother, with its beta browser for Android offering an in-built Crypto Wallet. The upcoming version is also going to to support Ethereum Web 3.0, and the wallet will automatically add tokens and collectibles.
Charles Hamel, the product manager at Opera Crypto, pointed out that by becoming the the first major browser to open up to Web 3.0, Opera is making the "internet of the future" more accessible.
"Having a Crypto Wallet in the browser brings the cash experience to the world of online payments...Our hope is that this will accelerate the transition of cryptocurrencies from speculation and investment to being used for actual payments and transactions in our users' daily lives," he said.

It is not the first time that the Norwegian software company has tried to make cryptocurrencies mainstream. Earlier this year, the browser launched an anti-mining security feature which was aimed at preventing cryptojacking or virtual currency users' data from getting hacked.
Opera has around 250 million consumers, including one hundred million users in Africa, a continent that is not taking much time to jump on the crypto bandwagon. With the integration of an ecosystem that is quite friendly to Ethereum’s decentralized apps (dApps) as well as traditional web-browsing, Opera might be on to something as far as the future of the blockchain technology is concerned.
