Opera users can now purchase cryptos using android wallet
In what seems to be a positive move, Opera now allows its users to buy Ethereum (ETH) directly from the browser, according to a press release. As per the press release, Safello, a Bitcoin and crypto payment provider announced that its brokerage solution is now integrated into the Opera browser. With the help of this new feature, users in the Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark can now use their wallet to buy Ether (ETH).
Speaking about this latest development, Frank Schuil, CEO and founder Safello said, “This integration puts the functionality to purchase cryptos at the fingertips of the users. Safello will now power transactions on the Opera browser for Android in the fastest possible way. With the convenience of credit and debit card payments and transfers over trusted payment networks, such as Swish in Sweden, we are bringing down barriers to ownership.”
Safello is registered with Sweden’s Financial Supervisory Authority and it will verify users who make purchases using Sweden’s BankID and Denmark’s NemID citizens’ identity solutions. Topping up a wallet with Ether will take “less than a minute”, according to Opera.
The press release further notes that Safello aims to make crypto ownership easier and more accessible by integrating its brokerage solution across a range of platforms.
It is worthwhile to note here that Opera launched the first blockchain-enabled browser for Android in December last year. The browser allows users to interact with dApps. It gives users the freedom to control digital identities and execute transactions. The newly designed browser is integrated with inbuilt cryptocurrency wallet and it is the first among all browsers to have both cryptocurrency and blockchain features.
