In the beginning phase, Bitsy will support Bitcoin (BTC) buying and the yet to be disclosed altcoins will follow.
Bitsy works towards offering users guardianship of their holdings with the aid of private keys while making use of biometric security as a password recovery method.
Adding to the offer, the integration with Bitsy would welcome customers to directly purchase Bitcoin from Overstock.com. This was confirmed by Patrick Byrne, CEO, Overstock, and he believes that Bitsy is setting a new standard for crypto wallets.
“Bitsy sets a new standard for cryptocurrency wallets. It is a game-changer because it gives users the freedom that bitcoin has always promised. Integrating with Bitsy will allow Overstock to take the next step in its cryptocurrency journey by allowing the company to offer bitcoin for sale directly from the retail website,” he stated in the press release.
Byrne sells $20 million worth of stock
According to a BC Focus report, Patrick Byrne gave away 10 percent of his shares in an attempt to meet his obligations. He sold roughly $15.8 million worth of stock two weeks ago, $4.9 million worth on Monday
In an open letter, he expressed that he is going to reinvest most of his sold shares.
“Within a matter of days, I will reinvest most of this money into two co-investments with Overstock and Medici Ventures (thus I am eating a double dose of my own cooking, as months ago I promised you I would),” he said.
This integration with Bitsy might be the beginning of the reinvestment of his sold shares.
