Ryan Zagone, the Director of Regulatory Relations at Ripple, yesterday announced the joining of Dan Morgan. Zagone’s Twitter post said that Morgan will be responsible to lead the company’s European regulatory relations.

“Thrilled to share that @danmorgan1 has joined Ripple from the UK Dept. for International Trade to lead our European regulatory relations. He’ll be key to our growth in Europe and brings deep expertise in FinTech and digital assets,” Zagone’s Twitter post said.

This is the third most important hiring in the company after the joining of Kahina Van Dyke as Senior Vice President in Business and Corporate Development and David Schwartz as the new CTO.

Morgan’s FinTech journey

Morgan is known to be a Fintech Sector Specialist for the UK’s Department for International Trade and is also a proficient Fintech Regulatory consultant. He has an extensive experience in the FinTech Sector.

He was the Director of Policy and Regulation at Innovate Finance and started the first All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Fintech. APPG for Fintech offers opportunity for UK Parliamentarians to discuss the FinTech loop holes and and opportunities. He is known to have introduced the Transatlantic Policy Working Group (TPWG) in Washington D.C.

A member of the Bank of England's FinTech community, Morgan has been honoured as one of Thomson Reuters ‘Top (UK) Influencers in the Risk, Compliance and RegTech 2017’.
