Roger Ver plans to buy or develop own exchange with Bitcoin Cash [BCH] as base
According to a Bloomberg report, Bitcoin.com is looking forward to buying or developing its own exchange. Bitcoin.com is a major digital coin wallet provider which deals with Bitcoin Cash. This was revealed by Bitcoin Cash advocate Roger Ver in an interview with Bloomberg.
Last year, a controversy erupted when the CEO shifted his allegiance from Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash. Roger Ver is now looking for a partner to finance the exchange or may “build one internally”. He revealed this in an interview in Malta, according to the report.
“If we build it ourselves, we can do it really, really cheap, and we get exactly what we want. But we don’t have the security of a battle-tested exchange that’s been around for a while,” said Roger Ver.
A few other details were also divulged by Ver. He said that he is going to tap the traffic that visits his website for all services from news to wallet operations. He is also keen to increase BCH adoption as it has found it difficult to gain traction after it was spun off in 2017. Ver further said that Bitcoin Cash might be the currency used by the exchange.
At the time of writing, according to coinmarketcap.com, Bitcoin Cash is trading at $514.66 which is a decrease of 1.94 percent in the last 24 hours. The market cap of the cryptocurrency stands at almost $9 billion which makes it the fourth largest cryptocurrency. It has a daily trading volume of $375 million.
According to an earlier report by BC Focus, Roger Ver in a discussion with Zane Tackett, head of OTC sales, B2C2 said that people are switching from Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash and other altcoins. He believed that Bitcoin’s core community lacks foresight.
“I think it’s true. A lot of these core supporters, they have cloudy hindsight. We can see exactly what happened. The industry moved away from BTC. They started integrating all sorts of altcoins and they still can’t see what happened. We have Bitcoin cash now, the version of Bitcoin described in the original whitepaper,” he mentioned.
