Trade Bitcoin [BTC], Ethereum [ETH] & other cryptos in Arkansas & Tennessee commission-free: Robinhood
Robinhood, the zero-fee American trading exchange, recently announced that two new states in the US – Tennessee and Arkansas will be able to now enjoy its cryptocurrency services. So, people will be able to trade Bitcoin [BTC], Ethereum [ETH], and other cryptocurrencies commission free with its service.
The announcement was made by the platform on its official Twitter handle. The tweets read, “Robinhood Crypto is rockin’ & rollin’ in Tennessee. Trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies commission free. Robinhood Crypto is hot-springing into Arkansas! Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are now available in the Natural State, commission free.”
The commission-free cryptocurrency trading app recently also extended its services to Alaska. As per their official tweet, the trading firm stated that the residents of Alaska can now trade on cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and Litecoin on their app.
Apart from trading in the above-mentioned cryptocurrencies, Alaska users will also get access to a live market data of various other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Gold, Dash, NEO, Ripple, Monero, Lisk, Zcash, Stellar, Qtum, OmiseGO, and others.
Other than the newly-added states, Robinhood extends its service to 19 other states and it include Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
It is to be noted that at the beginning of the month, CEO at Robinhood, Baiju Bhat highlighted the company’s progress and plans during the TechCrunch Disrupt. The CEO stated that Robinhood is planning an Initial Public Offering in order to facilitate its transformation to a public company.
For those who are not aware, Robinhood is not a platform limited to crypto trading; before launching the market for digital assets it traded traditional assets like stocks and ETFs. Earlier this week, the platform also announced that its partnership with Brit + Co. They’re aiming to create an investing 101 class to let people know the fundamentals of investing.
