Tron founder and CEO, Justin Sun, recently announced that Tron [TRX] has surpassed Ethereum in terms of daily transactions for the first time on October 18. Tron surpassed Ethereum with 33,563 additional transactions
Sun shared on Twitter, “It is the first time that #TRON has surpassed #Ethereum in daily transaction. #TRX 599354 vs. #ETH 565791 in October 18th. It’s just the beginning! $TRX”
On the following day too, Tron continued to surpass Ethereum’s daily transactions. Tron reportedly registered 629,329 transactions, while Ethereum had only 601,119 transactions registered. It means that Tron surpassed Ethereum by more than 28,210 transactions.
It goes without saying that Ethereum has been one of the biggest competitors for Tron. The Foundation has claimed that it will beat the second largest cryptocurrency, according to market cap, in the world on numerous occasions. Sun even claimed that Tron network will be 200 times faster than Ethereum. Moreover, the newly launched Tron Virtual Machine [TVM] is completely compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine [EVM]. The developers can easily shift from EVM to TVM for “almost free”.
In a recent interview with Investopedia, Justin Sun shared how Tron is different and better than Ethereum. While stating about it, he said that Tron always emphasizes the importance of accessibility and community’s dedication. They aim to be faster and cheaper than Ethereum, providing an easy-to-use and affordable network. “Not only that, we made sure to back our strong technical capabilities with a global support system that spans across various platforms, including Telegram, Slack, WeChat, and email, providing personalized and prompt technical support to the community,” he added.
Sun even added that he expects Tron token TRX to surge and reach CoinMarkertCap’s top 10 coin list. To do so Sun said, they’re “aiming to complete one of our key milestones in the fourth quarter: to combine TRON and BitTorrent and create a unique and outstanding product. We will leverage TRON’s blockchain expertise to enhance the decentralized BitTorrent protocol, which has over 100 million monthly active users.”
