TRON to break 2 million daily transaction mark very soon: Justin Sun
TRON made big promises when it first launched its mainnet and it looks like the network is close fulfilling most of them. The list of achievements have been piling high for TRON in the last few weeks.
In a recent tweet, TRON founder Justin Sun announced that the network had hit a new record for transactions per day and added that it would soon breach the 2 million mark. The network hit a record 1.8 million transactions per day.
It is to be noted that a recent weekly update ending on November 16 showed that the average daily transactions had reached 1.36 million, higher than Ethereum’s record of 1.34 million.
The community generally draws a comparison between the two ecosystems on account of TRON’s bold claims from the very launch of its mainnet. In an interview with Investopedia, Sun had stated said that the network will surpass Ethereum and become “the world’s largest decentralized protocol”. With all the recent developments, it doesn’t seem like a far-fetched dream.
Recently, TRON also surpassed Ethereum in terms of dApp volume. IDEX, the most successful dApp on the Ethereum network, had a transaction volume of 2,430 ETH transactions in 24 hours, according to DApp Review.
On the other hand, Tronbet had more than 422 million TRX transactions. This happened soon after TRON mainnet accounts on the network surpassed 600,000. At the time, Sun revealed that the network achieved the feat in just 143 days.
