TRON’s Justin Sun believes “regulation will come to the industry” & will be “necessary” in many ways
Justin Sun, the founder and CEO of TRON, recently shared how the network is working toward a decentralized internet, his view on regulation and more.
In the interview with Inc.com, Sun shared how TRON is going ahead with its vision of barrier-free decentralized internet. He said, “It is my deep belief that technology should be fair and distributed.” And added that it motivated him to create TRON in the first place.
And as far as regulations are concerned, Sun believes TRON will be setting an example of how to respond to the regulations in a constructive way. According to Sun, “We are operating under the assumption that regulation will come to the industry in many places.”
Sun added, “In many ways, it will be necessary to legitimize the market and separate good practices from bad. We recently hired a chief compliance officer to make sure we’re always a good partner with our community and with governments.”
During the interview, Justin Sun also spoke about supporting developers. He believes that to achieve decentralized internet, it’s important for the present and upcoming developers to have all essential tools they need in order to continue to innovate. And, the network is trying to provide that support in a number of ways.
Recently, the company launched an accelerator program with the intention of attracting more developers. “We think we stand out with our accelerator program because it’s stable, more efficient and has lower fees associated with it,” Sun said.
“The biggest issue really is educating developers globally–first on ‘why blockchain?’ and second on ‘why TRON?’ That’s why we recently launched the $1 million (USD) TRON Accelerator DApp competition. By giving prizes totaling that $1 million, the developer community gets to… execute their ideas or projects on TRON,”he added. Apart from that, TRON also supports developers through a number of tools including TronGrid, TronStudio, TronWeb, and TronBox.
