When we’re less than a week away from the launch of the new Xbox consoles, we have something else to tell you. Razer seems to have become Microsoft’s consoles’ best ally. Kaira and Kaira Pro are “made for Xbox” and can use the Xbox Wireless format for low latency voice and sound when paired with systems. The Pro adds Bluetooth 5.0 to help you connect to PCs, phones, and other devices without the need for an accessory.
New Razer Kaira and Kaira Pro
The two headphones share the same 50mm drivers we first saw on the BlackShark V2, promising brighter, clearer sound without sacrificing bass. You can adjust the sound for different types of playing or simply to accentuate the bass. Razer estimates around 15 hours of listening time if you’re using the Kaira Pro’s Chroma RGB lighting, or 20 hours if you’re not planning on presenting the show.
Besides the presence of Bluetooth and lighting, the differences between Kaira headphones largely boil down to the microphones. The Kaira Pro has a removable microphone boom, as well as a separate ‘hidden’ microphone that can be used in place of the boom, while the standard Kaira has a non-removable boom microphone.
Razer sells both headphones through its store now, starting at $ 100 for the Kaira and $ 150 for the Kaira Pro. Other stores are expected to have both by the end of 2020. You don’t necessarily need headphones like these to get the most out of your audio. the X series, but you know they have to pair well with the new system, and hey, razer is mixing the black and green aesthetic.
