More than twenty companies renew their commitment to the Diversity Charter to which 19 new entities adhere
The Fundación para la Diversidad celebrates its VI Awards in diversity management
Fundacin para la Diversidad celebrated its VI Recognitions in the management of the diversity of people within public and private organizations.
The institutional opening was in charge of Mara Eugenia Girn, president of Fundacin para la Diversidad, who pointed out that, given the complex context in which we find ourselves, it is vital that the principles of equality and non- discrimination continues to be on the agenda of governments, businesses and society as a whole.
Subsequently, Boti Garca Rodrigo, Director General of Sexual Diversity and LGTBI Rights at the Department of Equality, noted that diversity should not only be respected because it is a matter of fundamental rights, but should also be analyzed and understood as a commercial value, optimization of human resources and as a factor of well-being for those who participate in it and see it recognized and valued.
Next, Sonia Ro, Managing Director of Fundacin para la Diversidad and Coral Castellanos, Consultant for Employment and Diversity of Fundacin La Merced Migrations, presented the 2021 Diversity Calendar. It is a compilation of commemorative dates the most important in terms of human rights, as well as the most representative cultural and religious dates in Spain.
At the event, there was a discussion table where they discussed the importance of including labor in times of reconstruction. It was moderated by Anna Mara Hurtado, Director of Institutional Relations at the Foundation, and welcomed the following participants: Beatriz Coleto, Head of People Management at Alares, Isabel Arribas, Director of Employee Experience at Admiral Seguros, Cinthia Gonzlez, Corporate Director of HR for Iberia at BASF Espaola, Esther Martn, Director of Ethics and Compliance at Lilly Espaa and Teresa Manjn, Corporate Manager of Labor Relations at SACYR.
Signature and renewal of the diversity charter
Subsequently, it was possible to meet both the companies which signed the Diversity Charter for the first time and those which have renewed their commitment.

Once the new companies that adhere to the Diversity Charter were known and before giving way to the entities that renew it, Juan Gonzlez Mellizo, on behalf of the European Commission in Spain, thanked them all for their commitment.
In addition, he invited to join a new initiative, the European Diversity Month, which will be held around May 9, Europe Day, and which will be launched by the European Commission, in collaboration with the platform European charterers.

Presentation of the VI International Awards for Diversity Management
At the event, the VI International Awards for Diversity Management were presented, the winners of which are detailed below in each of the established categories. The members of the Board of Directors of Fundacin Diversidad awarded the prizes.
Good practices of an SME: A Puntadas Empresa Social.
Xavier Lpez and Mercedes Pescador, from the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Diversity, presented the award to Rosa Escandell, administrator and promoter of A Puntadas.
Good practices of a LARGE COMPANY: CaixaBank.
Eduardo Vizcano and Enrique Arce, from the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Diversity, presented this award to Anna Quirs, Managing Director of RRLL, Culture and Development of CaixaBank.
Good practices of a company which has its head office in another country or an international company: Lilly Espaa.
Mar Aguilera and Jorge Cagigas, from the Board of Directors of the Diversidad Foundation, presented the recognition to Nabil Daoud, CEO and President of the company.
Good practices of a PUBLIC INSTITUTION OR ENTERPRISE: The Fundación Coleccin Thyssen-Bornemisza.
Maravillas Rojo and Paco Va, from the Board of Directors of the Fundación Diversidad, presented the recognition to Evelio Acevedo Carrero, Director General of the Foundation.
Best practice in SPORTS: Gaben Sports Club.
Javier Marco and Reyes Bellver, from the board of directors of Fundación Diversidad, handed it over to Aintzane Encinas, president of Gaben Club Deportivo.
P ﬁ zer received the SPECIAL MENTION FOR BEST PRACTICES IN COVID-19 LACRISIS. Mara Eugenia Girn, President of Fundacin Diversidad, was responsible for attributing this recognition to Sergio Rodrguez, Managing Director and President of P ﬁ zer Espaa.
Then the act was closed by Javier Benavente, founder and honorary president of Fundacin para la Diversidad, who besides congratulating all the companies and entities and thanking the participation and the commitment of all the people who gave appointment in this law, presented the projects for 2021 inviting all organizations to participate in each of them.
