United Arab Emirates: United States sells F-35 fighter jets and MQ-9 drones to UAE

Through the deal, the United States will sell its advanced F-35 and MQ-9 Reaper stealth fighter drones to the UAE. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in the deal, worth more than $ 23 billion, many advanced weapon systems would be donated to the UAE.

The deal was suspended due to Israel’s objection
The UAE had wanted to buy the United States’ F-35 stealth fighter for several years. However, the deal was delayed due to Israeli objections. A few months ago, the UAE signed a peace agreement with Israel. Recently the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan signed agreements with Israel.

America gives UAE arms to face Iran
Pompeo said the UAE was threatened by Iran. So we make him powerful by giving him weapons. He said the agreement recognizes the strengthening of our ties and the need to strengthen defense capabilities to protect the UAE from threats from Iran. Trump wants all outstanding deals to be finalized during his remaining term.

What weapons are included in this deal
The $ 23.37 billion package includes 50 F-35 Lighting II aircraft, 18 MQ-9B uncontrolled air systems, and air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles. The American F-35 lighting planes are also not under the influence of enemy radar. Apart from that, it can also take off from short runways easily. This aircraft also carries many deadly missiles.
Tensions in Iran and United Arab Emirates are at their peak
