New statistics come from Adduplex for Windows 10. Version 2004, or Windows 10 May 2020 Update, is now the most popular version of Windows 10. With almost 38% of all Windows 10 PCs using this version . That’s according to the latest data from AdDuplex, which cites a survey of over 100,000 PCs for this month’s report.
Windows 10 May 2020 Update is already the most used version
“The October 2020 update (which updates computers to Windows 10 version 20H2) has just started rolling out. It is too early to speculate on its speed of implementation at this stage, ”explains the new report. “Meanwhile, May Update becomes the most used version of Windows 10.”
Microsoft had just released the October 2020 update and therefore Windows 10 version 20H2 six days earlier, and is deliberately measuring the version to ensure quality. So it’s no surprise that it barely fits [el] graph ”provided by AdDuplex showing the relative usage of each version of Windows 10 over time. 20H2 represents 1.7% of use during its first “month” of availability. (Actually six days.)
The rise in power of its predecessor, the 2004 version, in the first place, is however quite interesting: AdDuplex claims that this version is installed on 37.7% of the PCs in its survey. Meanwhile, Windows 10 version 1909 comes in second with 32.4% usage and 1903 comes in behind with 22% usage.
