Touch controls have been one of the most requested features for cloud gaming, so to create this collection we worked closely with gamers and game designers to create a familiar experience and support a level of play you are used to. with a physical controller, ”said Catherine Gluckstein, xCloud Managing Director and Product Manager in today’s announcement. “For each title that uses Xbox touch controls, we’ve worked to create an experience specifically designed for this game on mobile devices.”
Specifically on Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, the cloud gaming team worked with Ninja Theory to further improve the touch input feature. In Combat Sections, whenever players encounter Men of the North, onscreen controls change to a combat-friendly setting. In addition, in all games, the controls can be customized so that they are placed in a comfortable place on the screen.
Additionally, Microsoft is expanding the icon selection for Xbox touch controls beyond ABXY, offering jump, dodge, and other icons for easy access, especially for new players.
