You can now see more people in Microsoft Teams meetings

Microsoft Teams on Android now supports larger grid views in meetings and calls. The update started rolling out this week and supports 2 × 4 meetings on smartphones and 3 × 3 meetings on tablets. The same update also brings Cortana to Teams. You can get the update now from the Google Play Store.

Microsoft Teams extends meetings to Android and iOS

People keep asking Microsoft to increase the number of people who can join a call or a meeting at the same time. With the latest update, we can see eight people at a time on a smartphone and nine people at a time on a tablet. On PC, Microsoft Teams already supports a massive 7×7 grid with a view of 49 people.

With ever-changing smartphone screens, we can reasonably accommodate more people on one call at a time. Even a phone like the Galaxy S20 FE, which is suitable for one-handed use, has a screen size of 6.5 inches.

On Android tablets, with a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 with an 11-inch screen. This screen should allow us to see up to nine people comfortably.

Cortana in Teams is a new addition to Android. This allows us to send messages, make calls and join meetings with our voice. Microsoft is documenting what this will mean for Teams. The digital assistant will help you dramatically improve the way you work with Teams.
